A variety of educational programs are offered on weekends during the summer. Nearby hiking trails include Willow Creek (2.7 miles), Goat Mountain (2.6 miles), Spring Cove (2.6 miles) and Way-of-the-Mono Interpretive Trail (1 mile). Popular activities include swimming, motorized boating, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, sailing and fishing for bass, trout, bluegill and catfish. Recreationīass Lake offers a beach and boat ramp. Wishon Campground is located approximately 24 miles from Yosemite National Park's South Entrance. Bass Lake is a very popular area known for its variety of fish, as well as the bald and golden eagles that make their home here. Wishon Campground is located in the Bass Lake Ranger District at an elevation of 3,400 feet. The terrain includes rolling, oak-covered foothills, heavily forested middle elevation slopes and the starkly beautiful alpine landscape of the High Sierra. The Sierra National Forest, located on the western slope of the central Sierra Nevada, is known for its spectacular mountain scenery and abundant natural resources. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of that following day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. Reserved Sites will be held until check out time (NOON) the day following your arrival date. Extra vehicle will be charged a per night fee and collected at the campground.įire Restrictions: Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Two RV’S with tow vehicle per double site or two vehicles for double tent only camping. Please Note: One RV with tow vehicle for single site or one vehicle for single tent camping. Two pets per site and leashed at all times. Motorhomes over 24-feet or trailers over 20-feet are not advised. Please register at the Bass Lake Camp Store. Services are available at the adjacent Miller's Landing Resort, including a general store, pay showers, laundry facilities and a restaurant. Parking spurs are dirt but may be bumpy and difficult to access because of the interior roads. Drinking water and flush toilets are provided. Some sites at Wishon offer lake views.Įach campsite has a picnic table, stone fire pit and a pedestal grill. The camp is shady, due to dense stands of manzanita, oak, cedar and pine, and thick undergrowth provides ample privacy. Wishon Campground is located across the street from Bass Lake.
